Production/Machine Operator

We are recruiting regularly for a prestigious and expanding manufacturer in the local area, with several years of experience of working together with TRCM for both skilled and trainee roles in a high-quality plastic moulding manufacturing environment.

This is an excellent, ongoing position, with potential for additional training and qualifications, and generous overtime rates available.

Hours of work:

DD (Double Days – rotating shift)

Mon - Thur    MORNING 06.00am - 14:15pm,

AFTERNOON 14:00pm - 22:15pm.

Friday            MORNING 06.00am – 11.00am,

AFTERNOON 11.00am - 16:00pm

N (set Night shift)

Mon - Thur    NIGHTS 22.00pm to 06.15am

Rates of pay

£8.72 p/h - DD shift (36 hours p/w)

£10.13 p/h - Night shift (31 hours p/w)

Overtime – x1.5 for anything over the working week stated above, x2 for Sundays. (Overtime rates are only paid for a shift after the full shift has been completed.)

Notes from the MD:

“It’s a busy department and although not guaranteed, Operatives will generally do plenty of overtime during the week and on Saturday mornings if they want to. We have 80 employees, and every opportunity for advancement within the business in the future.”

Duties

Duties will involve machine minding of plastic injection moulding machines, trimming & quality checking parts as they come off the machine, recording parts & scrap, & packing correctly. This role may also involve some basic assembly, working from route cards.

This is a temporary-ongoing position with permanent contracts available for successful candidates, with potential for additional training and qualifications also possible.

Previous manufacturing experience & own transport a distinct advantage.
