Maintenance Fitters – Mechanical
Our Client is a leading supplier of high-pressure die-castings primarily to the automotive industry
In Worcester contains its own foundries, a series of automatic & semi-automatic casting machines, and a wide range of secondary operation machinery and assembly plant.
The ideal candidate will be mechanically biased and have an above average understanding preferably in Die – casting hydraulic & pneumatic systems.
Main Tasks & Operating Requirements:
To demonstrate a high level of skill in at least 3 (preferably 5) of the specified ranges of equipment shown below, must also show awareness of root cause analysis, whilst following approved methods of tackling tasks.
The work will need to be achieved safely & correctly to a high standard of competence. This will involve good communication, literate & people skills. A good knowledge of Maintenance Management Systems, (Pirana) would also be an advantage.
This position will operate on a shift system (double days/nights if req.) covering the complete range of our equipment
CNC Machine & Assembly Equipment
Pipework installation & Repairs
Our preventative maintenance program includes both extensive repairs & servicing got our own equipment.
Candidates should come from an environment where root cause analysis and problem solving are a routine part of the role.
Applicants should have a minimum of four years’ experience in a maintenance environment be apprentice trained to at least City & Guilds standard and to be able to organize their own workload.
1.Perform safety checks, following safe working procedures ensuring PPE is worn at all times.
2.Fortress lock off systems
5.Potentially train other in safe use & practices
2.Together with a recognized apprenticeship.
3.In depth knowledge of Health & Safety issues relating to machines & their operation
4.Electrical training would be an advantage.
5.Handling slings and cranes.
2 Shifts (A.M.& P.M.) Monday – Friday = 41 Hours
Monday – 06.00am-15.00pm
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday – 06.00am-14.00pm
Monday -13.00pm – 22.00pm
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday – 14.00pm-22.00pm Weekend Work/Paid Overtime, ECT
