Production Supervisor

We are currently recruiting for a Production Supervisor on behalf of our client: a prestigious manufacturer of GRP composite doors for residential properties.

Duties will involve supervision of all aspects of production of thermoplastic and GRP composite doors compliant to the latest building regulations and quality standards.

Candidates must have previous experience of leading or supervising small teams (approx 10 people) in a high-quality, high-volume manufacturing environment. CNC operational or setting experience would also be a distinct advantage, as well as any demonstrable experience in Supply Chain Management (SCM), vacuum forming, and technical assembly.

Own transport will be required due to location.

Hours of work are 07.00am to 16.00pm Monday to Thursday, 07.00am to 14.45pm on Fridays. (41.5 hours per week)

Salary - £26,000 per annum to start (approx £12ph), although this can increase depending on performance and meeting agreed KPIs

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily line balancing to ensure output levels are to target
• Identify process constraints impacting output/quality/Cost and with the support of the senior management team implement suitable   containment/improvement actions
• OHS – Continually review and update all documentation and management systems relating to your immediate areas of responsibility ie: SSW, SOP’s and risk assessments
• Motivate and demonstrate continual safe code of practice and good housekeeping in line with the Health & safety charter of rules with all employees
• Maintain and promote a healthy relationship with your immediate team and the Health and safety committee
• Quality – Collect and interrogate data  readily available in order implement the corrective actions required  to improve or maintain RFT, Scrap and complaint levels
• People performance – Ensure that all training plans and matrix are reviewed and up dated as and when required
• Ensure that a high level of team work and good moral co-exists via team briefs, tool box talks on a regular basis
• With your manager conduct regular one to ones and appraisals
• Actively promote continual improvement to eliminate waste through the use of world class techniques and tools
