Our Hereford based client has an exciting opportunity to recruit a Quality Manager.
To ensure the company is compliant with the following:
Quality system ISO9001 2008
“Move” is the internal quality tool for lean production and removing waste elements
“Fit for quality” internal process to ensure zero defects
The Quality Manager will have experience of both warehouse management and ISO quality systems, specifically ISO9001. Experience will include
Excellent supply chain knowledge and proven project management skills
A proven track record in analysing internal processes and systems and presenting improvements to senior level management
Strong people management skills and able to communicate at all levels
Experience implementing new ways of working through the involvement of people
The role will require advanced use of Microsoft office packages and warehouse management systems, auditing, inspecting, stock checks and developing procedure improvements.
Strong business acumen and excellent communication skills
The key roles of the Quality Manager are to
Interpret group standards and align local business handbook in line.
Review customer requirements and ensure that our current Quality system meets customer expectations and legal compliance.
Must ensure that the product or service the organisation provides is fit for purpose, is consistent and meets both external and internal requirements
Be proactive in building relevant teams for Continuous improvement “Move”
Train and support all employees in “Fit for quality” processes and defining quality procedures for operating staff.
Monitor and advise on the performance of the quality management system
Produce data and report on performance, measuring against set standards
Liaise with other managers and staff throughout the organisation to ensure that the quality system is functioning properly
Advise on changes and their implementation and provides training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality.
Working with procurement department to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.
Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
