Worshop Operative

Position:        Workshop Operative

Reports to:      Production Manager

Job Role:

To carry out goods in and goods out duties, ensure goods and services are produced correctly and efficiently, that they are of the right quantity, quality and that they are produced on time, to the job specification

Hours:             Full time

Duties & Responsibilities

Check goods in against delivery notes/drawings for accuracy and damages

Book in received goods onto in-house computer system (Orderwise)

Load and unload trucks and vans in line with health and safety procedures

Liaise with hauliers/couriers when goods are being collected

Notify the Production Manager of any short shipments/mis-picks

Notify the Production Manager of any damaged goods received and quarantine them, awaiting further instruction

Physical movement of stock from the Goods In area to the paint plant/production floor and/or put away stock onto the shelves

Collection of goods from suppliers

Maintain production floor/lean-to tidiness

Assembly of products – deliver the production process and set and maintain production schedules

Ensure that products are produced on time and are of quality aligned to the company’s standards and job specifications

Organise all resources required to meet production schedules

Assist in maintaining stock control

Pack goods

Any other duties as identified to meet strategic objectivesPromote good communication and work as part of the wider team

Ensure that company health and safety guidelines are followed

Ensure COSHH legislation is adhered to all times

Positively promote the company brand and image

Work on own initiative

Starting pay rate £10.50 per hour
